نهار 20 تشرين الثاني – نوفمبر هو نهار مميّز للإحتفال بمناسبة مميّزة وهي اليوم العالمي للأطفال. أطفالنا هم ثروتنا فلنمضي هذا النهار معهم ولندعهم يستمتعون بلحظات جميلة!

إليك بعض الأفكار للإحتفال بهذا اليوم:
-    قومي بنشاط مميّز مع طفلك، إذهبوا مثلا” لحضور حفلة موسيقية أو مسرحية للأطفال.
-    زوري صف طفلك في المدرسة وقدّمي للتلاميذ مفاجأة مميّزة كالبسكويت أو الكعك أو هدايا صغيرة.
-    نظّمي عشاء عائلي.
-    أرسلي ألعاب وثياب وكتب للأولاد المحتاجين ودعي طفلك يشارك بهذا العمل ويهدي هؤلاء الأولاد أغراضه القديمة.

November 20: A special day to celebrate a special occasion, which is the International Children’s Day. Our children are our treasures, let’s spend time with them and let them enjoy some magical moments on that special day!

Ideas to make that day unforgettable:

-    Attend a special event with your child, like a concert for example.
-    Visit your child’s class and bring a special surprise like cookies or cakes or small gifts.
-    Organize a family dinner.
-    Send a package of toys, clothes or books to children in need. Let your child get involved in that by giving away his old stuff.

حان وقت الإحتفال بعيد الأضحى هذه السنة! الجميع فرح بالعطلة وجو العيد! ومن الأكثر حماسا”؟ الأولاد بالتأكيد!
يفرح الأولاد خلال العيد إذ تجتمع العائلة والأصدقاء كلّهم ليتشاركوا الطعام والمرح والأوقات السعيدة! وأفضل ما في العيد للأولاد هو الهدايا والعيدية! يرتدي الأولاد ثيابهم الجديدة ويفرحون بالهدايا التي يحصلون عليها من أهلهم وأقربائهم! كما وأنّهم يحصلون على العيديّة، أي مبلغ صغير من المال يعطوهم إيّاه أهلهم أو أحد أقربائهم.
إستفيدوا من عطلة العيد لتمضون وقتا” مع أولادكم! إذهبوا معا” لزيارة أقربائكم وعلّموهم معنى العيد الحقيقي الذي يتركّز على التضحية والعطاء! دعوهم مثلا” يعطون ألعابهم وثيابهم القديمة للأولاد المحتاجين فسيفرحون جدّا” بالقيام بهذا العمل!

It’s time for Eid-ul-Adha this year! Holiday, festive spirit, joy and happiness are everywhere! And who’s the most excited! Of course it’s kids!

Eid brings for kids so many laughter and happiness as all their family members and friends are gathered together to share food, fun and happy moments! And the best part of Eid for kids is definitely gifts and Eidyah! It’s the time when kids wear their newest clothes and get gifts from their parents, siblings and friends! Kids also get for Eid what is called “Eidyah”, which is a small amount of money they get from their parents and friends.

Benefit from the holidays and spend as much time as possible with your kids! Take them to visit their uncles, aunts, grandparents… Teach them the essence of Eid which is all about sacrifice! Let them for example give their old clothes and toys to poor kids. You can’t imagine how much happiness it will bring them!

ليدعو أولادكم أصدقاءهم للإحتفال بعيد هالوين!
حضّري بطاقات الدعوة:
إشتري كرتون برتقالي اللون وحضّري منه بطاقات الدعوة. أثقبي زاوية كل بطاقة وعلّقي عليها يقطينة صغيرة بخيط أسود اللون. تجدين اليقطين الصغير عند بيّاع الخضار والفاكهة.
زيّني المنزل:
أنفخي بوالين بيضاء بغاز الهيليوم وغطّي كل بالون بقطعة قماش بيضاء ترسمين عليها عينين وفم. وزّعي تلك الأشباح في كل البيت!
حضّري الطعام:
قدّمي الطعام التي تتناسب ألوانه مع عيد هالوين كشرائح البرتقال والجزر الصغير ومكعّبات جبنة التشيدار وغيرها. وبإمكانك أيضا” أن تحضّري الكعك الخاص بعيد هالوين فاحصلي على الوصفة الآن: كعك لعيد هالوين.

إليك بعض الأفكار:
-    قسّمي الأولاد الى فرق من ثلاثة واعطي كل فريق لفّة من ورق الحمّام. على كل فريق أن يحوّل أحد أعضائه الى مومياء بلف الورق على جسمه تاركا” الرأس. شغّلي الموسيقى وعيّري 10 دقائق وليبدأ المرح! تنتهي اللعبة بالتصويت لأفضل مومياء!
-    إملئي حوض من البلاستيك بالمياه وضعي فيه تفاحات. أربطي يدين الأطفال وراء ظهرهم ودعيهم يحاولون أن يلتقطوا التفاحات بأسنانهم فقط. اللاعب الذي يلتقط أكبر عدد من التفاحات يربح!
-    إشتري قبّعات الساحرة وخبّئيها قبل بداية الحفلة في كل أركان المنزل. دعي الأطفال يبحثون عن القبّعات، والطفل الذي يجد أكبر عدد منها يربح

Let your kids invite their friends on an unforgettable Halloween Party!

Prepare the invitations:
Purchase orange cardboard from which you’ll make your card-style invitations. Punch a hole in the corner of each card and tie it with a black string to a mini pumpkin that you can find at a grocery shop.

Decorate the house:
Inflate a variety of white balloons with helium and cover each one with a white sheet then draw eyes and a mouth on each with a black marker. Float the ghosts around the party area!

Prepare the food:
Serve foods that come in Halloween colors, such as orange slices, Cheetos, baby carrots, cheddar cheese cubes, etc. You can also prepare for the kids the delicious Halloween cup cakes. Check the recipe: Halloween Cup Cake.

Here are some ideas:

-    Divide the children into teams of three and give each team a roll of toilet paper. The role of each team is to wrap one of its members like a mummy leaving the face unwrapped. Turn on the music, set a timer for 10 minutes and let the fun begin! Once finished, let the mummies walk around so that the other kids can vote for the best mummy!
-    Fill a large plastic tub with water and put apples in it. With their hands clasped behind their backs, players will try to fish the apples using only their teeth. The one who gets the biggest number of apples wins!
-    Purchase a number of witch hats and hide them in different places of the party area before the party starts. Let the children find as much hats as they can in a certain period of time you set. The child who collects the biggest number of hats wins!

Are you ready to transform your home into a fun Caribbean port and your backyard into a pirate ship? You are asking what is it about? Well it is about organizing for your child the most memorable birthday party!

The Pirate Birthday Party is one of the most popular kids’ parties ever, and to ensure for your child a perfect one, there are some preparations to do!

First of all prepare the invitations inspired by the pirates’ theme. On a paper draw the map leading to your house where the party will be, and let it be similar to a treasure map; you can even burn its edges to give it this pirate spirit. When the map is done place it inside a bottle and add to the bottle a bit of sand, some seashells, and some small skull beads. Stick on the bottle a black sticker where you can write the name of the kid invited to the party, and you can add to it a creepy message like “Come if you dare”.

To decorate your house for your child’s birthday party, you can use black and purple colors. Use these colors for balloons, streamers, and tablecloth. Hang all over your party room pirate flags and place everywhere gold plastic beads and other “stolen treasure” to create the mood. Moreover, you can put on the table some gold chocolate or plastic coins and some plastic jewels.

To add some fun to the party you will need to organize for the kids some interesting games and activities; and what a pirate party without the famous pirate’s treasure hunt? Before the party, purchase a treasure chest, or fashion your own, from a box. Use paper and paint to decorate it. Remember that this box has “been under water” for quite some time, so it doesn’t need to be beautiful. Fill the box with treasure like candy and small toys, and then hide it in a secret location. Present a rolled up “old” treasure map to the Party Captain (the birthday child); this map contains the first clue.  For example, “Don’t walk the plank to meet your doom, the first clue’s in the living room” where they’ll find the next clue, etc. Leading finally to the treasure! This game is so much fun and the kids will definitely enjoy it!

Some snacks and drinks will be perfect after the treasure hunt like fish shaped crackers, small sandwiches, fruits, and the famous “shark blood” which is nothing but red juice!

هل أنتِ مستعدّة لتحويل منزلك الى مرفأ كاريبي وحديقتك الى سفينة قراصنة؟ تسألين نفسك عمَّ نتكلّم؟ إنّنا نتكلّم عن تحضير حفلة عيد ميلاد مميّزة لطفلك!
يشتهر موضوع القراصنة عند تحضير حفلات أعياد ميلاد الأطفال ويتطلّب تحضيرها بعد التخطيط والتنظيم!
أوّلا”، لتحضير الدعوات أرسمي على ورقة خريطة تدلّ على منزلكم وتشبه خريطة كنوز القراصنة. بإمكانك أن تحرقي أطرافها لإعطائها الشكل المطلوب. عند الإنتهاء من الخريطة ضعيها داخل زجاجة فارغة واملئي الزجاجة برمل وصفد وخرز على شكل جماجم صغيرة. ألصقي على الزجاجة من الخارج ورقة سوداء واكتبي عليها إسم الولد المدعوّ بالإضافة الى رسالة صغيرة مخيفة، مثلا”: “أحضر الى الحفلة إن تجرؤ”.
لتزيين المنزل لحفلة عيد ميلاد طفلك إستعملي اللون الأسود واللون البنفسجي للبالونات والأشرطة المعلّقة وغطاء المائدة. علّقي في الغرفة أعلاما” للقراصنة وضعي في كل مكان خرزا” ذهبي اللون وغيرها من “الكنوز المسروقة” لخلق جو القراصنة بامتياز. بالإضافة الى ذلك يمكنك وضع عملات ذهبية من الشوكولا أو البلاستيك وبعض المجوهرات البلاستيكية على الطاولة.
ولخلق جوّا” من المرح عليك أن تنظّمي للأولاد ألعابا” ونشاطات مسلّية. ولن تتم حفلة القراصنة من دون لعبة البحث عن الكنز الشهيرة! إشتري قبل الحفلة صندوقا” للكنوز أو إصنعي واحدا” بنفسك وزيّنيه بالورق والألوان. تذكّري أنّ هذا الصندوق كان “تحت المياه” لوقت طويل، لذلك لا يجب أن يكون جميلا”. إملئي الصندوق بالكنوز كالحلويات والألعاب الصغيرة وخبّئيه في مكان سرّي. أعطي قبطان الحفلة (صاحب العيد) خريطة “قديمة” مع تعليمات لحل أوّل لغز، وعندما يحلّوه ينتقلون الى اللغز التالي الى أن يصلوا الى الكنز. سيستمتع الأولاد كثيرا” بتلك اللعبة المسلّية!
بعد البحث عن الكنز من الطبيعي أن يحتاج الأولاد الى بعض الطعام والمشروبات، كالبسكويت على شكل أسماك والشطائر الصغيرة والفواكة، بالإضافة الى شراب “دماء القرش” الشهير وهو ليس سوى عصير أحمراللون
